Ride911 '07

The 2007 ride, as many of you remember, turned out to be a cool and drizzly day met with periods of brief sunshine throughout the ride. We braved the cool temperatures, low visibility, and the somewhat misty day to come come out and remember our fallen brothers and sisters. For that the Ride 9/11 family and fellow crew members thank you. Even with the bad weather we had a pretty good turn (approximately 110 bikes) out and this year we hope to make it bigger and better.

This year we've moved the date up for two reasons; one to better our chances of having a sunny warm day and second to incorporate our ride with the race schedule at the Colorado National Speedway. We have been invited by the folks at CNS to kick off the race with the opening ceremonies. After our ride and prior to to the start of the race the riders will line-up on the track for our national anthem and a salute to the victims of 9/11. After the open ceremony the riders and their passengers will enjoy the VIP area with food, drink, and a great race.

Last year we were once again able to donate money for the Flight Crew Memorial in Irvine Texas, a scholarship for the aviation program at Metropolitan State College of Denver, and to Kim Ramstetter a mother of four young girls dealing with a rare form of colon cancer. We look forward to to donating again this year so please mark it on your calendar and come out and ride with us.
